Personal InfoCloud Site Minor Tweaks to Resolve Issues
I don’t post about site updates for the Personal InfoCloud Site on that site, as it is just content there. But, I do post about them here. This is one of those occasions. The updates today were minor, but after about a year I finally repaired some of the remaining oddities from the move from SquareSpace to hosted WordPress on the same host as vanderwal.net. One of the rough spots was comments usernames turned into email addresses and they are now back to usernames.
There were also some odd errant non-content posts that came out of SquareSpace that were picked up as posts. Those have now been removed.
Google Search Console has now been connected so hopefully Google search will finally work properly, which has been off a bit since the move out of TypePad to SquareSpace (around 2011 or so). The move to WordPress added more friction from detritus that compounds it all.
There are some things in the layout, information design, and page structure that I really want to clean up, as it is bugging more than it was months back. But, writing and filling in some gaps in ideas that I swore were there is taking the priority.
